Description
Emily and Russ find themselves in Oban, Scotland’s best-kelpt secret. As well as being known for its seafood delicacies, this place is also a hub for the UK Seaweed industry. Here they meet Kati, Ryan and Rhianna from SAMS, The Scottish Association for Marine Sciences, who take them through everything, from growing baby seaweeds in their nursery to deploying seaweed and its applications to replace everyday less-sustainable items. They also share their journey to finding more sustainable methods of production and how they are using their Seaweed Academy to train and support the expansion and skills development of the seaweed aquaculture industry in Oban and the rest of the UK.
