Did you know that us Brits are the biggest tippers in Europe? But with landfills reaching capacity and pressure form both parliment and the public, the drive to find alternatives is changing the way waste is managed with more and more incentive to recycle and reuse. Green Britain TV travel to Yorkshire waste management firm MyGroup to go behind the scenes at one of their recycling plants where hard-to-recycle waste finds a second life. The plastic and textiles are transformed into multipurpose boards, furniture and much more. Emily meets the team before being tasked with creating a colourful design for one of their boards. The family owned company is also running a fantastic community programme in local schools called SchoolCycled, teaching the younger generations the importance and benefits of recycling.
