Our Criteria
Our stories have gone through a vetting process by our panel. Many of the companies and individuals who we have featured fall under one of the following certification processes (B-Corp, The Planet Mark, Earthshot ….).
Stories that do not hold a certification have been thoroughly researched and meet the following criteria:
- British founded or the majority of their manufacturing process is based in Britain
- Have no history of Greenwashing practices
- All stakeholders are treated with respect and dignity, from the local environment to staff
and those touched by the supply chains. - Are reducing the environmental impact of their activities and processes
- Are innovating or pivoting to find new ways of working that lower their environmental
impact - Design in planet-friendly processes so they have a net positive outcome
- Think beyond “carbon tunnel vision” to include nature-based solutions and have positive
effects on human wellbeing - A willingness to be open and transparent about their challenges and shortcomings, to
communicate these in an honest way to the community and to ask for help to overcome
these. - A commitment to being an active member of the Green Britain community, with a
willingness to collaborate and share their knowledge - A commitment to following the science behind climate change in their product
development and communication
