Our Criteria

Our stories have gone through a vetting process by our panel. Many of the companies and individuals who we have featured fall under one of the following certification processes (B-Corp, The Planet Mark, Earthshot ….).

Stories that do not hold a certification have been thoroughly researched and meet the following criteria:

  1. British founded or the majority of their manufacturing process is based in Britain
  2. Have no history of Greenwashing practices
  3. All stakeholders are treated with respect and dignity, from the local environment to staff
    and those touched by the supply chains.
  4. Are reducing the environmental impact of their activities and processes
  5. Are innovating or pivoting to find new ways of working that lower their environmental
    impact
  6. Design in planet-friendly processes so they have a net positive outcome
  7. Think beyond “carbon tunnel vision” to include nature-based solutions and have positive
    effects on human wellbeing
  8. A willingness to be open and transparent about their challenges and shortcomings, to
    communicate these in an honest way to the community and to ask for help to overcome
    these.
  9. A commitment to being an active member of the Green Britain community, with a
    willingness to collaborate and share their knowledge
  10. A commitment to following the science behind climate change in their product
    development and communication
